Born in 1981, Xavy Martin picked up the guitar in his hometown of Hoofddorp at the age of eighteen and never looked back. What began as curiosity quickly turned into dedication, shaping a sound deeply rooted in blues while naturally expanding into pop, rock, and country. Ten years ago, he stepped into the role of vocalist, adding depth, character, and storytelling to his powerful guitar work.

His music blends the soul of blues, the melodic strength of pop, the drive of rock, and the heartfelt storytelling of country. The result is a versatile, authentic sound that connects emotionally while remaining radio-ready.

Inspired by the fire of Stevie Ray Vaughan, the revolutionary spirit of Jimi Hendrix, the authority of Albert King, the emotional intensity of Gary Moore, the modern blues mastery of Joe Bonamassa, and the melodic craftsmanship of John Mayer, Xavy developed a style that bridges classic influences with a contemporary edge.

On acoustic guitar, he channels the virtuosity and rhythmic precision of Tommy Emmanuel, adding finesse, dynamics, and contrast to his performances.

Xavy has been performing across the Netherlands, steadily building his name through live shows that showcase both his raw guitar work and his strong vocal presence. Yet, in many ways, Xavy’s real musical journey only began at the end of 2023.

As his children grew older, Xavy found himself with more space to fully pursue his own musical ambitions. At the same time, he felt that his singing abilities had developed to a level where he was ready to take them to the stage. In 2023, he played his first gig as a vocalist. What started with just one performance quickly grew into four gigs in 2024 and more than forty live performances in 2025.

The response from audiences confirmed that he was on the right path. People connected with the songs, the energy, and the combination of guitar playing and vocals. Realizing that his live shows were reaching people gave Xavy the confidence to take the next step and build something bigger.

In 2026, Xavy dedicated himself to the next chapter of his journey: the studio. He began building his own studio and investing heavily in developing his sound and production capabilities. At the same time, he has been working on a professional website and investing in better camera equipment to create high-quality video content and bring his music to a wider audience.

His upcoming album is at the heart of this new chapter — a project that captures his evolution as an artist and brings together his blues roots, country storytelling, pop sensibility, and rock power.

Xavy has learned that the musical road is challenging, and that growth requires collaboration, patience, and resilience. He regularly works with different professional musicians to refine his sound, expand his skills, and push his craft further. For him, the show must always go on.
